Sneak Peek..

We had our second attempt at seeing baby Julianna with the 3D ultrasound this morning. Our first try was last month (January 24, 2009) but she had her face covered with her hands. We had it done at Peek-a-Baby by the Willowbrook mall, which is also where we got to sneak a peek at Joshie and Jenna before they were born.
Since there weren't many good pictures of her, we were able to reschedule and come back for free. So - that brings us to today..... Still no luck though. She had her hand covering most of her face and then she got the hiccups. The funny part was that she was moving, just not for us to see her cute face. Eventually she did move....she turned around and had her back to us! Little stinker!
The cool thing though was that we were able to tell that it is DEFINATELY a girl and we also got to keep the few pictures of her that they were able to snap, plus get a $50 refund. They offered for us to be able to come back one last time in place of the $50, but it will be too close to her due date and if its already cramped in there the only things that will happen is that she will have even less room and move around less then. I think she's pretty comfy in her little head down, hands in front of her face position for now. It will be interesting to see how she "acts" once she is born!
Here are some of the "good" pictures from our two sessions:

Josh in a box

Our coffeemaker broke, and so we had to buy a new one. Who knew that an emprty coffee box could be so much fun?!

Silly Kids!!

It always cracks me up to think about what really goes through the minds of kids. Especially when they can't really communicate back to you what they are thinking. You have to guess. As you can tell from the picture above, Joshua thinks he is "too big" to sit in a "baby seat" and has to sit in a "big boy chair". This is fine by us since Julianna will be coming soon anyways and he'll have to sit in a regular chair by then. But it makes me laugh to see how he comes to the table sometimes. Here he is obciously dressed because we are going out to dinner for a surprise birthday party. The expression on his face, along with the dinosaur visor (which he made ALL by himself) just crack me up! It makes me think that he should be some sort of card dealer or something in Vegas...or a salesman...LOL....
Then you have our little adventurer. She literally has NO fear in her. I caught her scaling the back of the couch the other day. While we were out to dinner (at TGI Friday's) and waiting for our food to arrive, I thought I would get a funny expression on her face if I gave her a lemon to gnaw on. She still has no teeth, but she could suck on it.....Boy was I wrong!!! SHE LOVED IT!!! Ate everything but the peel, and made absolutely no face. It didn't even appear to be sour to her. In fact, she wanted more!
By far though, the funniest thing has been the following story. And yes, you guessed it - it has to deal with Joshie (our little mishchief maker)....
Joshie is just like Jason - he LOVES ketchup on EVERYTHING.... Well, one day while he was supposed to be taking a nap, I went in to check on him because he had been awfully quiet for a few hours and was surprised he wasn't awake. Well, he was indeed awake and had climbed on top of his laundry hamper to reach the baby wipes that were on top of his dresser and had about 40 baby wipes in his bed. He was so proud of himself when I asked him what he was doing. This is the conversation we had:
ME: "What are you doing with all the baby wipes?"
JOSH: "Cleaning....Ketchup on face and in bed...Joshie cleaning for mommy"
ME: "You're cleaning, huh?"
JOSH: "Joshie helping mommy clean"
Now how can you do anything bu laugh at that!?He even had them inside his shoes!!! By the way, he did NOT have ketchup on him, but I am always teasing him after he eats because he will often have ketchup all over himself. LOL....

Lift Off

You've probably been wondering what we've been up to the last few weeks. Well, for those of you who know - I work at the awesome private school called Legacy Preparatory Christian Academy (http://www.legacypca.org/). It is the perfect scenario for me. I teach M, W, and F and the kids come with me to school! Its a regular school, but it is modeled after colleges (thus why it is a "University Model" school). The kids don't come to school on Tues or Thursdays, but are "taught" at home by their parents over the material that was covered in class the day prior. Anyways, this year I am teaching 7th and 8th grade math and science, and the things we are able to do you would NEVER be able to do with public school kids!!
Here's an example. My 8th grade science class just finished a unit on Space travel and rocketry. They had a project in which they had to create two model rockets from a kit I gave them. We then got to launch them and have fun! It was awesome and the kids, along with their families really enjoyed it. Here's some pictures from our Launch Day:

All the families preparing for launch
Mrs. Audra May (our head administrator) got to launch the honorary "Legacy" rocket

Getting somewhere

I finally feel like the kids' rooms are getting together! Its taken a while to get things where they need to go and to make them look a little more "homey", but I think we are getting somewhere! The only think left to do is to paint their rooms!!
Jenna's theme: ladybugs and butterflies

Jenna's wall border

We plan on painting her room in pink and green colors to accent the red and black colors in the border.
Joshie's theme: cars and trucks
We plan on painting Josh's room in blue and brown colors to accent the cars and trucks

Check back later when we paint!!

Jenna's first pigtails

Just wanted to share with you all Jenna's first pigtails! She looks so much more like a toddler than a baby to me with her hair like this - but its so darn cute!!!

Ready for School!

I decided to get the kids an actual "backpack" for school since the little back packs that have been serving as "interim diaperbag" have become too small to fit in there a day's supplies of diapers, wipes, extra pair of clothes, lunch, and blankets for nap time. I end up taking their backpacks (times two), each kids lunch box, each kids blanket and a small case that has their milk in it for nap time in a separate cooler thingy since it won't fit in the backpack either. I end up making a separate trip just for their stuff on school days. It takes about 10 minutes just to get the car loaded!!! Well, not anymore!
I found these backpacks on sale at Wal-Mart (I refuse to pay more than $10 for a backpack that my toddler is going to use) and they have wheels so the kids can "carry their own weight"!! LOVE IT! And as you can tell - they did too! We can't wait to use them tomorrow at school....

Experiment 6-2-6

You might be wondering what "Stitch" from Lilo and Stitch has to do with my blog title...let alone with my blog period.....

Well, we call Jenna "Experiment 6-2-6" from the movie. If you've seen it, you know what I am talking about...Stitch is an alien who is made to destroy things, but then through the kindness of Lilo then returns the love and becomes "tame". The reason we call Jenna "Experiment 6-2-6" is because she can be so funny at times with her "destructive" behavior. Its like she sees something and it must be destroyed! LOL... We had paper shades in our living room. I say had, becasue she tore them down....She climbs over everything, including her brother....and when she eats - we usually have to strip her down becasue she gets food EVERYWHERE! Although quite comical, she definately keeps me on my toes. BEtween her and Joshie, there's never a dull moment in our house!

Here's a little video of her in action - playing with Jason on the floor one day after church....

T-minus 10 Weeks

The end is near.....we are not only finally in our third trimester with baby Julianna, but are now only 10 weeks away. The whole time I really haven't "felt pregnant" and as you can see from the picture above, don't really look pregnant either - from the front....
All in all, I have to say that its been a pretty decent pregnancy. A little tiring with having a one and a two year old, but that's normal. I think I would be tired even if we weren't having another baby! Its hard to believe though that its almost over. April will soon be here and so will our newest little member to the family.
Wow - I am going to have three kids!!! Good thing I'm not as crazy as some other people and know my limits though. There'll be no octuplets or 20 kids over here! LOL....
Well, we're having one last ultrasound on the 24th of February (she had her hands in front of her face three weeks ago so we had to reschedule) and I'll post some of the pictures! I can't wait to hold her though!!
