Daddy's

I am fortunate to have a wonderful help-mate who LOVES the kids and does his best to play, encourage and teach them. It's not often that I get a video of it.... Here's a special time between him and Jayden one evening when the other three were in bed already:

Turning A New Leaf.....

So it's been THREE WEEKS since the change in our lives started. I have to admit that yes, it's been hard at times to keep my end of the deal with God and remembering that He does have a plan for us and that his plan is better than my plan. It has challenged me because I am a logical, planner. I like to have everything organized and ready-to-go. I like to know that my children are taken care of. And do you know that God has created me like that?! It's part of my role as a woman, wife and mother. And of course it's in my husband's DNA to want to provide and ensure that his wife and children are provided for.

About 8 days ago, Jason got a call from Planet Ford. A company he really didn't have a desire to work for. That's where I think God has a sense of humor. Don't ever tell God you won't ever do something because then he'll challenge you and delvelop your character through that and remind you that it's not about you anyways! The service manager wanted to do a background check and said he "may" have something coming up, but wasn't sure.

Then he called back and said, well, we might as well do the drug test too...

And yesterday he called and my sweet husband is now an auto technician for Ford!

The cool God-thing is that every part of his flesh wants to say "no" because he went from working on "luxury vehicles" to "everyday vehicles", but everything in our spirit (that inside voice) says, "Go, becuase I have a plan for you there - a plan to use you for Me". So not only does he have a job, but he is starting at the same pay he was at Lexus with, AND it looks promising for quick promotions within the shop.

So we loaded up the tools....and borrowed a 6 x 4 trailer...
Discovered that the toolbox was a half inch too long!
Prayed about how to make it fit....and then asked our neighbors to help us push it up the ramp....
God made it fit just right :)

We're so stoked to be starting this new chapter in our lives and it has been so encouraging to SEE God go before us these past three weeks and eliminate any fear, doubt, and worry. It gives you a new found faith in what God can handle. He created the heavans and earth in six days, you think he can't provide for you? :)

Thankful Thursday

"I am my beloved's and my beloved is mine"
Today is "Thankful Thursday"! Sometimes it is really hard to be thankful in the world we live in of "do everything right now, and make everyone happy". Let's admit it - it's more stressful being a 20-something adult in today's world/economy that it was a decage or two ago. It's so easy to get stressed out, and look at the things we don't have, or the things that didn't go right during the day. That's why I'm creating Thankful Thursday :)  To take a break and look at the things that you are thankful for - it really can change your whole outlook on life and you'll have a good day, I promise!

Today I am thankful for my husband, Jason. Out of all the people in the world, God chose me to be his wife. We've been married five and a half years, and have four beautiful children. I am thankful for him because of who God has made him to be. He works hard for our family so that I can stay home Tuesday's and Thursday's. Granted, he's not perfect, but he tries.

He spends quality time with the kids, making each one feel special. After a long day at work, he comes home and still plays games with Josh and Jenna. He sill finds time to cuddle with Julianna and Jayden. And he makes time to talk with me and listen.

This economy might be going south....we may never feel like we have "enough money".....we may be sleep-deprived, frustrated, overwhelmed parents at times....but in the end when our kids grow up and go away to college it's still us. And we're choosing to support one another and to do the best we can at raising our kids God's way.

What are you thankful for today?? (Don't forget to comment!)
