Caught on Camera

I FINALLY caught Jayden walking on camera tonight. Seems he doesn't like walking much, but wants to go straight to running....Guess he's got three older siblings to catch up to!

Little walker

Someone finally learned to walk over Christmas break.... but I have yet to get him on video. He's the 4th baby, but the oldest to learn how to walk. I've never had one walk AFTER turning a year old! It's so funny, but he's such a FAST crawler!

Guess walking is hard work...

O-N-E

It's amazing to me how fast a year flies by now that I am "older". My sweet Jayden boy is one.

No more babies to cuddle close when their born.

No more milestones to snapshot like discovering little toes

No more learning to "stand up" because I'm going to be running soon!

I'm so thankful that God chose me as your mom and I pray that you would continue to grow into a special young boy that is blessed beyond measure! Your smile lights up our house, sweet baby boy! :)

Walker

I'd like to say that my littlest munchkin is walking.....but I can't.... I honestly think he can, he just uses the walker as his "safety net" from his siblings. And he can run in it. And he picks it up to walk OVER toys, clothes, whatever is in his way...So I think he can, he just doesn't want to yet. So funny because he is the latest to walk! Soon enough though he'll be chasing after his brother and sisters!!!

Oh, and he can climb out of it too...

"Little Mommy"

I think girls are just born to be little nurture-ers. Jenna, for example LOVES to play house with Jayden as her little baby.... I catch her all the time like this:

Sweet little girl, that boy is almost as big as you!

There's something about sleeping babies that makes you want to just hold them forever....

I am fortunate to have a wonderful help-mate who LOVES the kids and does his best to play, encourage and teach them. It's not often that I get a video of it.... Here's a special time between him and Jayden one evening when the other three were in bed already:

Milestones

I think every parent loves milestones. It gives you this proud feeling when you see your "baby" grow up and learn these everyday tasks. Sometimes it seems as though they almost grow up too fast. Especially when it's your last baby....

Jayden will be nine months on the 16th of August. He is standing, crusing along things, wanting to eat "grown up food" and surprisingly, cut his first tooth!

I am surprised because Josh was the youngest to get teeth - he was 10 months... This took me by surprise! In fact I thought Jayden had been hurt because his mouth was bleeding!! Come to find out, his tooth was breaking through... Who knew!

He's growing up TOO fast!!! :(

Eight Months and growing.....

Eight months ago God fulfilled a promise to our family.

A promise that made our family complete.

Now pulling up on everything, and crawling like a champ - he'll soon be walking and chasing his big brother and sisters.

new favorite snack is "Baby Goldfish" and he loves gnawing on pizza crust!

Always smiling and loving sharing a room with big brother, Josh.

And a big sister, Jenna, who loves him more than words can say. She protects him and looks after him.

A family knit together for a purpose.

Thankful Thursday - Jayden-boy

Seven months ago a promise was fulfilled to our family. A promise of another little boy that would bring so much joy and laughter and love. Time flies by too quikly when I think about how much he's grown. Here's a few recent pics of the little guy:

Jayden: 6 Months {Update}

Six Months.... November 16th, 2010 was the day God's promise came true.

He's been such a joy to have as a part of our family and not a day goes by that I can't imagine him in it.

Sitting up, rolling over, eating like a champ and learning to crawl are checked off the milestone list....

16 pounds and 26 inches tall - he's just so perfect and loves to be held and talked to...

His smile is intoxicating, and his eyes light up the room....

My littlest munchkin is six months old.... Such a handsome little man - mommy loves you!

How To Roll Over...In Three Easy Steps....

Jayden has learned to roll from his back to his tummy....although he usually gets frustrated with himself that he can't just "flip over" yet. It still takes a little "umph" on his part, but he's getting faster and before I know it he'll be chasing the others around the house too...

Step 1: look cute for the camera so mommy can take a "before" picture

Step 2: swing your leg over and arch your back to be on your side

Step 3: move your toes to grab the carpet to make the rest of your body turn over. Be sure to pause for mommy to take a quick picture

Today (Feb 16th) my baby is 3 months old. It's gone by too quickly. I wish I could freeze every moment and hold on forever for this time. His smile lights up a room and his snuggles warm my heart.... 

 He's learning so much.... He can hold his head high and play with toys around him. He "talks" to the blue seal on his exersaucer toy. His eyes are bright and his smile too.....

 He captures the world around him and studies every last detail. He focus on those who talk to him - especially when it's his brother singing to him...

 He oohs, ahhs, coos and laughs...

He is cherished by all, especially his big brother, Josh, who is the proudest of all to have such a "sweet baby brother"....

Wasn't it just yesterday that you were born? Time, stop going so fast - my "babies" aren't babies anymore!
