Four Months...

He was the baby we all prayed for....

His brother Josh cherishes him...

Our family is complete with him in it and his name means "Jehovah has heard" because God heard and answered our prayers....

He has grown SO much in the past four months - and I still get lost in his eyes at night...

WEIGHT: 14 pounds, 1.5 ounces  (6 lbs 15 oz at birth)
LENGTH:  26 inches (19 in at birth)

New things this month:

• Rice, barley and oatmeal cereal
• Rolling over both front to back and back to front
• "Talking" ALL the time
• Playing in the exersaucer
• Baby food (started squash yesterday)
• Grabbing at toys

Storytime with Josh

Josh LOVES his baby brother... He has prayed for him and cherishes every moment with him. I am so thankful for his relationship and love for Jayden. I HAD to capture this on my iPod and publish it because I can already see their special bond . (Yes, grandma, it's a video - you'll have to watch it on the computer)

2 Month Update

My sweet little Jayden is now two months old. I can't believe how fast the time has flown by. I wish I would have thought that when I was pregnant! The time seemed to drag on then...Our little munchkin is learning to roll over, he gets stuck about half way, so I suspect that when I update for three months he'll be rolling all over. :) He's our little social butterfly (definately takes after his momma) and "talks" to whomever's infront of him. He loves to smile and laugh too. :D

I don't know his "official weight" as I decided to weigh him using my Wii fit program. I am going to swing by the hospital tomorrow and weigh him and see how accurate my own method was. But according to the Wii balance board, Jayden weighs in at 9.54 pounds and he is 25 inches tall now.

It's times like this - when I am sitting here and reflecting on how fast the past two months have gone by - that I truly cherish my kids. All the hard times, the challenges, and the crying, sleepless nights make it worth it. I cannot imagine my life without a single one of my blessed children. I understand the verse "Children are a blessing from the Lord". I also know that God has creared them with a purpose. I can't wait to watch them grow into wonderful masterpieces!

Jayden Christopher

Today we had our traditional 3D/4D ultrasound at Peek-A-Baby. We started this with Josh and were so amazed at how lifelike these ultrasounds are at sneaking a peek at the baby. We were so excited to be able to do this again and the kids LOVED seeing their baby brother! We were able to even get a DVD this time as the new Woodlands location opened up recently. Here's our "Sneak Peek" at our little blessing....

I know that in the video it looks as if the cord is wrapped around his neck, but we asked about that and were assured that it wasn't but rather in front of him floating in the amniotic fluid. I am still going to call my dr. tomorrow though and double check. I see her Thursday too :)
